I learned about this urgent need for funds by the Land Conservancy to protect the West Creek Wetlands today.

Please help with any donation.

Preserving West Creek Wetland

In the West Creek Watershed of the Township of Langley, BC, hidden within a forest, lie 163 acres of natural beauty. As one of the largest areas of wildlife habitat in the municipality, the wetlands are home to nearly 170 different types of fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals, including up to 18 endangered or threatened species. Running through the property is the main channel of West Creek, one of BC's 14 designated "sensitive" streams, with healthy stocks of Coho and Chum Salmon. Wood Duck Lake stands out in the northern half of the property because of the dam building activities of the resident beaver population.

Time is of the absolute essence!  December 10th marks the expiry date of TLC's option to purchase this unique property at a most reasonable price.

We are currently within $75,000 of reaching our fundraising goal.  Please make your donation today!  (last updated December 6th at 12:30pm PST)
