Watching television when I'm not doing anything else has become so automatic that I don't even think about it anymore. I want to read instead, to challenge my mind, increase knowledge and redefine my beliefs.

Is Santa gonna upgrade your TV to a fancy new HDTV Flatscreen this Christmas?  And if so, are you wondering what to do with you current (used, but in great shape) telly that does not include it and the landfill becoming ONE?  If so - then I have the perfect solution.

I don't want to become one of those people who tries desperately to bring up the fact that they "don't own a television" into every conversation. But on the other hand there have been times in my life when television has consumed more than its fair share of my disposable time. I would like at least to become more aware of how much time I am devoting to television, and maybe to reduce it.
