PodMobs are a new way of organizing consumer power that was inspired by San Fransisco's Carrotmob. We've successfully 'greened' one Robson Street sushi restaurant, and want to impact many more businesses!

We can change business as usual.

We buy things everyday.  Businesses will do anything for money.
Businesses will do anything for our money… so why don’t we use that
power?  To use our purchasing power requires organization, and until
the Carrotmob
came around, groups hadn’t seen ‘our money’ organized on a grassroots

I hit the streets on Friday afternoon with the goal to convince
sushi restaurants in the West End to become more environmentally
friendly. I was hoping they’d adopt some menu labeling and items from
Seafood Watch’s new sustainable sushi
guide, and make some operational changes to “green” their business.
