Start Fruit Tree Project on north shore

Help start a North Shore Fruit Tree Project to link excess fruit in backyards with those who lack fresh fruit. Fruit falls to the ground and goes to waste when there are lots of people going hungry or relying on unhealthy cheap food. Other Metro Vancouver cities use volunteers to bridge this gap; let's do it on north shore! We're looking for volunteers and tree owners and donors.

I went down to the Station Street Farmers Market to help publicize this new Wednesday location and to refresh my supply of local greens. In case you don't know, the market goes from 3pm to 7pm.

I always wonder what the first day of a new market will be like. It's a bit like inviting friends to a party and wondering if anyone is going to come!
