Use / take only what I need

Written by Axwo

I was born into a society where we are conditioned to want more and constantly strive to "upgrade"  to the next step, financial or otherwise. I don't really need half the things I use, whether it be the clothes I wear or the food I eat. I would like to spend more time connecting with the people around me and experiencing the world and less time consuming material things.

Dress up for a night on the town.

I don't know about you other girls out there, but I grew up a tomboy... it's kind of stuck. Even today, I'm still friends with majority guys, can't really put together a girl outfit to save myself, or even apply make-up properly. More often than not, I end up wearing a ripped hoodie, jeans, and sneakers instead. Comfort is so key.

But then I was at True Value Vintage the other day and I saw a bunch of really cute tops by Zachary's Smile. I ended up buying two that were on sale. One is blue and is flouncy, had puffy sleeves, a cap collar and just looks really classy. The other is red and has a plaid collar and waistband and ties in the back and it's super 70's and girly.

OK, CLOTHESWAPS have been the best way going to breathe new life into my closet. If you too are looking for a "new" yet nicely-worn-in thin cotton shirt that already feels like someone loved wearing it, here's your method for trading in and trading up in the clothes department: 1. Cull your closet for clothing you have not worn in 6 months and load items into a big bag        2.
